Hello Guest and  to the forum  This is a dedicated forum for all things R1 and R6 related. It goes without saying that as we only occupy such a limited niche corner of the entire biking world, we can only realistically expect to have input from either prospective owners or current owners. Our population of members will only ever be limited in comparison to a more general bike related forum. Because of this, sites like ours needs members to take an active participation to keep the forum interesting and enjoyable to return to. We realise that a lot of members join to gather information about specific issues with their bikes and don’t return. There are also quite a lot of people who browse the forum and dont join. So a notice to all you LURKERS reading this  , pull up a chair and get stuck in. Post about anything that you want to get off your chest, post about your latest ride even if it was just down to the shops, organise a ride or a meet and make some friends, tell us anything about your bike, ramble incoherently in the chatroom (if mickr1 hasn’t destroyed it  ), give your feedback on the site etc, etc, etc.  Even if you are just considering buying an R1 or R6, are waiting for it to be delivered or even dont have one but may in the future, sign up and come chat with the members. Its the best place to get advice about anything bike related  WELCOME Welcome to the forum for all YZF-R1 and YZF-R6 owners. | YAMAHA RELEASE MOTO GP REPLICA Valentino Rossi and team mate Jorge Lorenzo's Moto Gp bikes are now available as replica's. Its not all good news though. The bikes are being produced by Yamaha France, which means they are not going to be available in the UK and, worse than that, only four examples are being made available. Each bike will be an exact replica of Rossi and Lorenzo’s racebike colour schemes and (wait for it) in France will cost €19,990. That would be £17,850 in our money. You do get a Rossi or Lorenzo replica helmet as part of the deal though So would you have one if you could get your hands on one? Would you pay all that hard earned out for it?  Disaster for Nicky at Losail? So while fellow Ducati rider Casey Stoner continues to be strong and enjoys yet another pole position, Nicky Hayden is doubtful to make his race debut following his high-speed crash in qualifying at the Commercialbank Grand Prix of Qatar. Suffering severe pain in his back and undergoing initial x-rays at the circuit medical centre, he was taken to the local Ahmad public hospital in Doha for further checks. Hayden required three stitches in a cut on his chest. Ever upbeat, he joked “I don’t feel like going for a jog right now, I can tell you that much!" Behind Stoner are the two factory Yamahas of Rossi and Lorenzo, with the satellite Yamahas of Edwards starting sixth and Toseland a disappoointing thirteenth.
